Camping in the Redwoods

We joined some Cornerstone families and headed west! It was a breathtaking area in the heart of the redwood forest. Bree played with the VandenHeuvel’s newest baby and I sucked down the coffee by the camp fire! What a trip. We also made it down to the beach near half moon bay and got our beach volleyball on!

Memories from the Campfire

Hartland ’08

This year Bree and I both headed to Hartland Christian Camp with 80 elementary kids! It was a great week of effective ministry… but let me to you, when you spend that much time, with that many kids… Let’s just say that I just might grow gray hair before I lose it!

The boys and I got the Big one!

VBS 2008!

We just finished up an intense VBS (Vacation Bible School) at Cornerstone. We transported just under 40 kids from Brentwood to Livermore each day all week long and we had a great time! VBS was a huge success with many kids (500) hearing about Jesus and who is really is! It was great.

Soccer Stud!

One of Peter’s passions is soccer and he is now on a Men’s league team from the area! He plays some keeper and some offensive center mid.

There is no pictures of Pete playing mid because Bree was distracted by our Dog…

and the Gopher next to her…

It’s Mr. and Mrs. Ammerman if you please!

It’s been the craziest month of our lives! It has been packed full of exciting and fun times. Our wedding was nothing less then perfect and our honeymoon was more relaxing then I could have ever imagined. Thank you to all who came and made it truly special for us. We are all so thankful for all of you.

HONEYMOON!

Kauaii was the destination…

My life long dream (besides Bree) was to drive a Jeep… How about driving it for a week on an island!?!?

This was the view from our beautiful hotel room! It was amazing!!!

Me + Coffee = HAPPY!!!

We hiked NaPali Coast and wow is all I have to say! We found and picked guava and mango right from the jungle and had lunch!!! Very Resourceful don’t you think?

We found this new toy in a hobbie shop and fell in love. It’s a trainer Kiteboarding kite! It will pull you around on a mountainboard/surf board/snowboard… More fun to come with this one (hopefully no hospital visits).

It’s things like this don’t get forgotten.
