NTBI Represent Event
New Tribes Mission is involved in many countries around the world to expand the reach of the gospel. Here at New Tribes Bible Institute, we are uniquely situated to have an incredible wealth of these countries and cultures represented embodied the students and staff. Ā Ā Ā Bree and I were able to be a part of the team to host an event here called āRepresent Event!ā Ā Represent Event is to highlight these countries and celebrate them through food and dress.Ā Students and staff brought food dishes and dressed up from cultures they grew up in.Ā Whether hailing from Brazil or full blood southerner; countless countries and cultures were represented.Ā We have students from across the country, over 70 MKs from across the word, and a staff who have all spent years serving overseas.
The dishes were everything from West African Hibiscus Tea (served in bags that you bite the corner off of to drink), to Wisconsin Cheese Curds!
Many dressed up, from Tribal Papua New Guinea to NFL jerseys.
We had every continent covered except Antarctica.
This unique quality of our school that is worth celebrating!Ā The purpose of āRepresent Eventā is to celebrate these cultures, grow a better appreciation for the students that attend NTBI, and appreciate the incredible diversity that we have here which serves to enrich our time at NTBI.
Pulse Movement – Milwaukee
This last week I had the opportunity to check out a PULSE Event in Milwaukee.Ā Pulse is the fastest student-led movement sweeping the nation.Ā It focuses on reaching the college generation for Christ.
It was an Evangelic outreach concert with bands such as Lecrae, Tedashii, KB, Family Force 5, and Flatfoot 56. Ā It was incredible.Ā We at New Tribes Bible Institute have been gearing up for it and inviting students in the local colleges/universities, and had an amazing turn-out.Ā The Bands where top-notch and the music was BLASTING.Ā However, the message was CLEAR.Ā The gospel was given thoroughly.Ā Not only did Nick Hall illuminate the gospel clearly, but most the bands took time to clearly give the reason they live for Godās glory.Ā Ā It would be easy to hold an event like this and share the gospel as a ātack onā⦠but this was not the case.Ā The gospel was front-and-center from start to finish. Check out this video!
I was excited to be a part of this night and am thankful that Pulse knows this is not a one-time deal.Ā They had great tools setup for next steps and continued discipleship in place.Ā They partner with countless churches so these college students can get plugged-in and find a local church body to call their own right away.
From what little I have experienced of this ministry, I thought it was great.Ā Check out this little snapshot of Pulse and see how you can get involved.
