NTBI Open House

This last weekend was the NTBI Christmas Open House.  Simply put, the entire school (including staff) opens their homes for people to come walk through.  Everyone decks out their places with Christmas decorations and sets out drinks and snacks.

Knowing we have so many MKs and even students from all around the US, we thought it would be fun to put out a map and ask everyone who stopped by to mark where they lived.  Check it out!  We had the world pretty well represented in our home that night!

First Snow of the Year!

It took until December, but we finally had some snowfall here in Wisconsin!  It snowed about 2-3 inches overnight and so we woke up to a beautiful white winter wonderland!  We are throughly enjoying the snow for now but we anticipate that we will struggle to have the same enthusiasm once we have had to deal with the midwest winter for a  few months…  Also, Pete has snow shoveling duty starting monday which means if it snows, he will have to wake up at 5am to shovel snow! (Yikes!) Also, the forecast says we are in for subzero temperatures in the near future!   All I can say is that we are enjoying it all while temperatures are still reasonable, but we know we’re in for a challenging few months.  So it begins…

Christmas Time is here!

We couldn’t wait any longer and so we brought down our Christmas decorations!  We turned on the holiday tunes, made some apple cider, and then went to town!  All we need now is a little snow outside the windows!!!

Thanksgiving Break

We had a great Thanksgiving Break this year!  We went to the Barth’s home (NTBI Staff) for Thanksgiving Supper along with the MKs and students who stayed at NTBI for Break.  It was a packed home with over 25 people!  We watched football, played football (in the 25 degree weather), played games, and of course enjoyed a yummy supper and fellowship!

After hanging out with the Barth’s, we all came back to the school and watched Home Alone together.   I forgot how much I LOVE that movie!
