This year we held Celebration Events for our awesome ministry partners. The purpose of these events was to share what God has been up to this year and the vision for next year! Our desire is that you can be engaged and excited about what you are supporting.

What it’s all about!
We wanted to end the update with a two videos that help show why we do what we do. As we work hard to support and serve our NTM families, they can work hard and reach the lost!
This first video is an incredible interview about Jesus with a believer in the Moi people of Papua New Guinea. It’s worth a watch!

…And that’s a wrap for the 2015 NCF MK ReEntry at Biola in L.A.!! We had the privilege to serve 32 MKs from around the world, from over 20 countries! We had an amazing group who dove head first into the intense program. We served with an all-star staff, we had 6 MK Staff who are a few years down road of transition, there were licensed Third Culture Kid Counselors, and Auxiliary staff. It was truly a pleasure to work with all of them.
The program is intense – no doubt about it. The MKs are given an opportunity to work through some of the challenges of transitioning cross-culturally. Tackling elements such as; learning practical “life in the USA”, beginning the process of grieving what they have just left behind, and looking forward to what is coming and how to grow in the Lord through such a daunting task. It has been a privilege to watch these MKs over the last two weeks. Cannot wait for the next one! 🙂

Papua New Guinea – The land of the unexpected!
Our team had an amazing opportunity to travel to our New Tribes Base in Papua New Guinea to teach/get to know the High School MKs and equip them for their upcoming transitions to their passport countries for college/career. We had a BLAST hanging out with the students each day and even enjoyed opportunities holding meetings with the parents, Junior highers, and elementary students.
The trip was not without its trusting the Lord moment to moment… 3 days before we were to leave the USA for this trip, Bree fell ill. Thankfully we had our prayer warriors in full effect and she improved enough the evening of the flight to come along. The flights were for lack of a better word… hell for Bree. Thought her ears were going to explode. Then when we arrived at the New Tribes Center in PNG, she had a chance to see the doc on center and was diagnosed with a double ear infection and sinus infection. After he proscribed some antibiotics, she was feeling better pretty soon and was able to help teach and hang with students! So so thankful for your prayers!

We have some great news! God has given us a place to call HOME in Southern California!
We have officially been approved to lease a 3BR/1.5BA townhouse in Mission Viejo, CA which is RIGHT where we hoped to be. Location is perfect and is close to: many of the colleges and Universities we needed to be near for ministry, major airports missionaries use, down the street from Interstate 5 (which is a major artery of travel), it’s south LA so easier to reach San Diego area colleges, and even close to Bree’s extended family!
It’s amazing to me how much we tend to struggle with anxiety and fear when He asks us to walking out in faith… but He has always been so faithful to us and provided for us. This provision is just another example. If we are honestly… it was such a roller coaster of a process… and we gave into anxiety many times… but God came through as He always does.
Our move date is December 28th which is coming up soon! For the rest of December we will be up in our home area of Northern California with the goal of finishing strong in our season of raising partnerships.
Lastly, we will be needing to furnishing this ministry home and will be starting from close to ground zero. Right before moving to CA we lost our car when a dear dashed into us on the road and we ended up needing to part ways with the majority of our household possessions… If you are interested in partnering with us in this way, please check out our “needs list” http://bit.ly/1u6pXdC.
This August, our New Tribes Mission MK Care Team hosted an college-age MK Retreat in Michigan. What a blessing it was to fellowship together with so many of our NTM MKs all at once! 30 students from around the midwest and east coast made their way to the retreat and had a blast.
Our goals for the retreat were to:
-Have a relaxing few days before school/work starts back up for the students.
-Meet other MKs that have similar experiences and challenges.
-Get to know our MK Care team.
-Eat well and have fun.
…I think our goals were met!
